Dattatreya accuses TRS of failing on all fronts
Khammam: BJP leader and former Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya has accused the ruling TRS of failing on all fronts. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, he criticised the State government's decision to reduce Backward Classes reservations in the ensuing municipal elections. It was a grave injustice to the BC community.
The ruling party was suffering from insecurity and that was why it was postponing the municipal elections. Dattatreya demanded that the State government fulfil the election promise of waiving Rs 1 lakh crop loans. He also demanded that the State government supply fertiliser to farmers on subsidy.
He expressed the hope that the BJP would win 2023 Assembly elections in Telangana State. The BJP was the only alternative to the ruling TRS in the State and a large number of leaders from different political parties were joining the party.
On recent political developments in Karnataka, Dattatreya claimed that the alliance between JDS and Congress was unholy alliance. The influence of Communists was declining day by day, he said. Dattatreya welcomed Congress minority cell convener Md Fazal and others who joined the BJP in the presence of the party leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy.
