Deadline is for KCR, not for staff: CPM in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: The senior leader and State Committee member of CPM party, K Ilaiah, slammed the K Chandrashekar Rao-led State government while extending support to RTC employees, who have been on the strike for the last one month, in Kothagudem on Tuesday.

Addressing the protesting employees at the Kothagudem bus stand, the CPM leader condemned the statements of Chief Minister with regard to RTC strike.

He said, "The deadline set by the KCR is for him, not for the employees." Stating that the Chief Minister was playing with the lives of thousands of employees by making new statement every day, Ilaiah said the Chief Minister has no intention to solve the issue, and clearly wants to privatise the corporation. He has no respect to the High Court orders, he added.

Stating that the downfall of KCR has started with the RTC strike, the CPM leader added that the Chief Minister has the least respect towards the rights of workers.

He said their party would support the RTC workers till their demands were met. Meanwhile, a huge protest was conducted by the CPM leaders, who were later evicted by the police.
