Democratic Teachers Federation demands government to release pending General Provident Fund in Karimnagar

Karimnagar: The representatives of Democratic Teachers Federation (DTF) on Thursday demanded the government to release General Provident Fund (GPF) along with the amount that has to be given to the retired employees, which has been in pending for the last six months.

They staged a dharna in front of Zilla Parishad Office here, protesting the government for not releasing GPF for the last six months.

Speaking on the occasion, DTF State president M Raghuvamsh Reddy alleged that the government employees, especially teachers, including those in service, partially retired, withdrawn retirement and retired, are facing lot of problems as they didn't get their GPF of the last six months. "On several occasions, the issues were taken to the notice of the officials concerned but no one showed interest in solving them. We are staging dharna in front of all ZP offices in the undivided Karimnagar district to bring our problems to the notice of the government again, he informed.

Raghuvamsh Reddy urged the government to sanction the GPF as early as possible.The association members V Raji Reddy, K Chandramouli, A Srinivas Reddy, T Thirupathi, A Rajeshwar Rao, Ch Devendar, P Ashok Reddy, A Ram Reddy, D Asu Reddy, K Narayana Reddy, P Eshwar Reddy were present along with others.
