Kazipet: Devotees throng Kazipet Urs

Kazipet: The TRS government has been treating all religions equally and the credit goes to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Government Chief Whip D Vinay Bhaskar said.

Speaking at the Urs of Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani at Kazipet on Monday, he said that the TRS government is giving importance to all the festivals cutting across religions.

"Warangal is proud to have such an Urs, which is regarded as the third largest festivity in the country," he said, stating that a large number of devotees from across the country and abroad turn to the festivity to get the blessings of saint Hazrat Syed Shah Afzal Biabani.

Rajya Sabha member Banda Prakash and MLC Kadiam Srihari were among others, who accompanied Vinay. The head of the

Dargah Khusroo Pasha, the seventh descendent of Afzal Biabani, was also present.

The traditional rituals such as piercing spikes into body performed by Rifai Fakhirs were a huge attraction at the Urs for the large number devotees, who turned to offer prayers.
