Dip in out-patient visit at Gandhi Hospital over fear of coronavirus
Out-patients visit to Gandhi Hospital fell in the past few days due to the fear of coronavirus. The hospital sees 5000 out-patients each day and the number fell to 1200 for the last two days.
According to the sources, the dip in the out patient visits fell after two coronavirus positive cases reported from the city. "The reports of the patients tested positive for the virus have been sent to National Institute of Virology, Pune for confirmation," it is said. After a techie from Hyderabad tested positive on Wednesday, the out patient count came down.
Many people visited Gandhi hospital on Wednesday and gave their samples for the test suspected of having infected by the virus. However, no clear instructions are given to the patients directing them to the isolation ward.
"Number of patients are going to the out patient ward to give the samples for the test as they don't know where to give the samples," said a security guard at the hospital.
