Municipal staff spraying hypochlorite in Karimnagar Collectorate building on Monday

Karimnagar: Municipal Corporation Commissioner Valluri Kranthi stated that sodium hypochlorite will be sprayed in the entire Karimnagar city.

As part of the steps taken to curb the spread of deadly coronavirus in the city, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation has sanitised various areas and sprayed sodium hypochlorite at the Collectorate, including the Collector's office premises, Collector's chamber and other department chambers on Monday.

The chemicals were also sprayed at municipal office, bus stand, vegetable market and other places.

The Commissioner said that a surveillance unit was set up for to monitor foreign returnees, to stamp them and to place in home quarantine for two weeks.

Rapid Action Team members are monitoring them two times a day. Special sanitation works are being carried out in all divisions in the city like Hypochlorite liquid spraying and bleaching.

Commissioner Kranthi asked the people to support the lock down and not to venture out of their houses unless and until it is urgent.
