Disqualify Kavitha for code violation: BJP
Hyderabad: BJP Telangana leadership on Tuesday complained to the Election Commission of India against the TRS MLC, Kavitha for violation of norms in the greater polls.
In a letter addressed to the national poll body, the BJP general secretary Premender Reddy sought disqualification of Kavitha for violation and misusing the vote in the GHMC polls.
She has mentioned in the affidavit of her vote in Bodhan of Nizamabad segment when she was MP he said. In spite of that voting in GHMC polls from Banjara Hills address was a total violation of the Election Commission norms, he alleged.
Kavitha who won in local constituency polls as an MLC is supposed to follow EC norms and cannot violate, he said. After casting her vote in GHMC polls, Kavitha has, appealed in twitter to people to come out and vote the BJP leader cited. So casting vote in greater Hyderabad polls on December 1 was against the poll norms, the BJP contended. Kavitha must be disqualified for this violation, he added.
