District bags award for solving seniors issues

Medak: The district bagged a special award for effectively maintaining Senior Citizens Act 2007 in the district. District Collector Dharmareddy received the award from minister K Eshwar in a programme held at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad on Tuesday.

The event was organised on account of International Senior Citizens Day. The award was given for the steps taken to address the issues of senior citizens like setting up an exclusive wellness centre in Toopran, the awareness created about their care etc.
