District collectors told to focus on implementation of govt. schemes

The district collectors have been asked to focus on the effective implementation of government schemes setting aside their personal priorities.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday held a meeting with district collectors at Pragati Bhavan where all the ministers and senior officers of all departments along with district and additional collectors were present.

Rao said that the officials need to follow the decisions taken up by the elected government of people in democratic countries like India. The officials were asked to implement laws, policies and schemes introduced by the state government. Especially, the collectors were directed to make sure if the schemes are being implemented properly.

The chief minister also discussed the implementation of the new Municipal Act, the panchayat raj act and the new revenue act.
