District Congress Committee celebrates Gandhi Jayanti in Khammam

Khammam: District Congress Committee (DCC) has conducted 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi here at Sanjeev Reddy Bhavan (DCC Office) in Khammam on Wednesday. DCC president P Durga Prasad garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi and offered tributes besides remembering the services of Mahatma Gandhi to the nation. Later, he distributed sweets and fruits to people.

Meanwhile, the party conducted a peace rally in the town to mark the day. Former MLC P Nageswara Rao, Town party working president N Deepak Chowdary, Corporators V Narasimha Rao, MBG Tilak, party leaders P Veerabhadram, B Mani, Y Uday Kumar, P Venkaiah, VV Appa Rao, Y Satyanarayana, M Venkateswara Rao and others attended the programme.
