District Horticulture Officer inspects ridge gourd cultivation in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: District Horticulture officer G Mariyanna informed that ridge gourd cultivation was going on in the district in nearly 900 acres. On Monday, he visited the mandals of Sujathanagar, Julurupadu, Palvoncha and Chandrugonda and inspected the ridge gourd cultivation, besides interacting with growers.

Speaking on the occasion, he hailed the decision of farmers who took up cultivation of ridge gourd stating that the crop needs less input costs and manpower. He also explained the measures for cultivating various vegetables during his visit.
