District Progress Card mandatory for every Collector in Telangana

Hyderabad: Major transformation is set to take place in the administration of rural and urban local bodies in Telangana. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has made it mandatory the preparation of " District Progress Card " by all Collectors to ensure all round development of the T- state.

Four year action plan for the comprehensive development of all villages will be the top agenda of district administration, the chief minister said also warned the transfer of collectors if they did not meet the expections in delivering services. KCR also decided to take up surprise visit to villages to ascertain the status of village development at the day long meeting conducted with district collectors and other district level authorities.

Nearly Rs 39,000 crore funds under 15th Finance Commission, employment guarantee scheme and local body revenues will be made available for panchyatas. These funds will have to be utilized judiciously for the over all development of all villages, the CM said discussed in detail the status of development of all local bodies and the progress achieved after the implementation of Palle Pragati and Pattana Pragati programmes under which the authorities taken up construction of Graveyards, Nurseries, Dump Yards, maintenance of clean environment, improving drainage system, development of internal roads and toilets in government schools.

Telangana stood number one in India in the implementation of employment guarantee programme, he said asked Collectors to provide more number of working days to the farm labour so that they will get regular wages in the crisis time.

KCR also instructed officials to take necessary precautions to check the spread of deadly Coronavirus and prepare separate action plan to curb seasonal communicable diseases in the monsoon season. The officials were suggested to create one lakh threshing floors in the farmers land all over the state.
