District tourney: Budding players to gain in Warangal

Warangal: The Warangal (combined) district badminton championship for boys, girls, men and women entered second day on Thursday. Warangal District Badminton Association secretary Prof P Ramesh Reddy said that finals in all categories will be played on Friday. "All the players put up a sterling performance. This tourney would be of immense help especially to those budding players.

Girls Singles U-13: E Nikitha Rao beat M Poojitha (MS) 30-9; M Keerthi (JNS) beat S Bhavana (JNS) 30-6. Boys Doubles U-13: Charan + Homith (Jangaon) beat J Mokshith + Shareyaas 30-19; J Showrya Kiran + Md Ali Siddiq (HNK) beat M Yashwith + P Aneshwer 30-7. Boys Singles U-15: A Sai Raman (JNS) beat S Shashank 30-21; M Prajwal (DPS) beat Madhusudhan (JNS) 30-22.

Girls Singles U-15: Ch Vishnavi (JNS) beat Ashritha 30-21; Ch Sukrithi beat K Ananya (JNS) 30-19. Boys Doubles U-15: P Sri Namdan + T Neeraj beat D Avyuth + P Moulik 30-25; Madhusudhan + Sahshikanth (JNS) beat J Shreyaas + M Thanishq 30-25.
