Hyderabad: BJP leader DK Aruna on Friday said that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is making mockery of the mandate of people.

Addressing a press conference here, DK Aruna took exception to the reported comments of Chief Minister KCR in the State cabinet meeting.

She said that entire country stood behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi by giving 303 Lok Sabha seats and the Chief Minister talks Modi's victory is not great. People have voted BJP as they liked the policies of PM Modi and Amit Shah, she said.

Aruna said that BJP chief Amit Shah is focusing on Telangana now and they would be concentrating on strengthening of the party. She expressed confidence that the BJP would come to power in Telangana in the next Assembly elections.

The BJP leader said that her party would bring out the corruption of the TRS government in the irrigation projects. What is the need to take up municipal elections in a hasty manner, she asked.
