Don't turn open plots into dustbins

Armoor: District Collector C Narayana Reddy warned both the officials and the public not to turn open plots into dustbins.

As part of Pattana Pragathi, he toured several wards in Armoor municipality on Tuesday and interacted with the public. Enquiring the people whether they have any problems, he directed the officials to solve the public problems on the spot.

The Collector along with the special officers had discussed the problems existing in the wards with the committee members of Rangachari Nagar (ward 19); Santosh Nagar (ward 17); Vidya Nagar (ward 23); and Kota Armoor (ward 7).

The Collector toured in slum areas and observed lack of sanitation in these areas. He directed the officials to remove weeds in the drainages and on roadside and also in vacant lands. Stating that incomplete construction of drainage canals and garbage thrown in the canals are causing problems, the Collector ordered the officials to

take steps to clean the drainage canals and to complete the pending construction works. Suggesting the people to develop their colonies clean and neat, Collector Narayana Reddy warned that high penalties will be imposed on those, who don't keep their surroundings clean.

Chairperson Vineeta, Commissioner Shailaja, Tahsildar Sanjay Ram, MPDO Gopi, councillors, committees' members and others have accompanied the Collector during his tour.
