DOST registrations suspended in Telangana as coronavirus cases rise in state

The registration for Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST) has been suspended in the wake of rising in coronavirus positive cases in the state. A notification on the official site of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) states that the services of DOST portal are stopped due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The TSCHE announced the schedule for DOST registration 2020 on June 22. According to the schedule, the first phase admissions into degree courses were scheduled from July 1 to 14 and the web options from July 6 to 15. The seat allotment will be made on July 22.

R Limbadri, DOST convenor and TSCHE chairman said that the registration was stalled due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the state. We express our concern to the students and parents for suspending the registration process. Date of admissions will be informed soon, he added.

DOST is a state-level admission process through which the students are offered admissions into courses like BA, BCom, BSc, BSW, BBM and BCA. The admission is given based on the students' merit and reservation criteria.
