Drunk man bites off police constable finger in Khammam
Khammam: A handicapped man in alcoholic state has allegedly bitten the finger of a police constable who was on duty at One Town police station in Khammam on Tuesday.
Going into details, D Masthan a disabled man living near Revathi talkies here in town came to the police station with two others over involving in a fight. While he was shouting in the PS, constable Mansur Ali and station in-charge Satyanarayana scolded him.
Masthan, who was already in a drunken state, argued with the policemen and then bit on constable thighs and fingers. His bite was so strong that the constable's left-hand little finger cuts off and fallen down. Later Mastan flew away from the spot.
HC Satyanarayana informed CI Ramesh, they have rushed Ali to the hospital for treatment. Speaking over the incident, CI said that Mastan behaves like a psycho and in the past, there was a case booked against him in the police station. The police have registered another case against Mastan. Khammam CP Tafseer Iqubal, Additional DCP Muralidhar, ACP Venkat Rao inquired over the incident.
