Drunk woman attacks dog with axe in Hyderabad

A woman in drunk state attacked an aged dog with axe, injuring it severely here at Nagole on Wednesday. The dog was shifted to a government veterinary hospital in Uppal.

The dog is learned to have got five stitches internally and six external stitches.

It is learned that the woman came out of the house and attacked the dog which has been looked after the community for last 13 years. The animal rights activists and locals vented out anger over the woman's behaviour and said that they are scared of the woman who has now become a threat to colony people.

On learning the attack, NS Pravalika, founder of Compassionate society for animals filed a complaint with LB Nagar police.
