Eatala launches new face-to-face interaction
Hyderabad: Health Minister Eatala Rajender launched a new initiative of face-to-face interaction in the State teaching hospitals to get first-hand information on various issues, suggestions and feedback from the medical staff working there.
He started of his initiative at Gandhi Hospital with a marathon eight-hour interaction with government doctors and other medical staff.
He was flooded with requests from doctors, junior doctors, nurses, paramedical staff and also fourth-class employees. He interacted with doctors from each department.
Various HoDs urged the minister to increase the number of units in view of increased rush of patients.
They also requested for implementation of 7th Pay Commission salaries, promotions, upping the security to prevent attacks on doctors, filling up of vacancies etc.
Addressing them, Eatala called upon them to strive to offer the best healthcare services to patients, most of whom are from a poor background. He wanted extra focus on sanitation and maintaining hygienic conditions in the hospital and its premises.
Junior doctors submitted a memorandum to the minister urging the government to give stipend every month without delay.
He directed hospital authorities to ensure the outsourcing fourth class staff are given salaries every month.
