Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy opens Rythu Vedikas in Maheshwaram

Maheshwaram: State Education Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy inaugurated Rythu Vedikas in Nagaram and Dhubhacherla villages in Maheshwaram constituency of Ranga Reddy district on Tuesday. Later, the Minister laid the foundation stone for construction of Sri Ramachandra Swamy temple at Sriramnagar Colony in Jalpally municipality limits.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the Rythu Vedikas were being constructed throughout the State to bring awareness about new technology, techniques and skills to the farmers, adding that the officials present at the Rythu Vedikas would be guiding farmers regarding their crops. A total of 2,604 Rythu Vedikas were being constructed with a budget of Rs 600 crore and the constructions of the Vedikas were almost completed, she said. Internet facility, meeting hall and other facilities are also available for farmers to assist them to set new reforms in cultivation. The State government is implementing several schemes for the development of farmers. Each Rythu Vedika is being constructed with the cost of Rs 22 lakh to help the farmers, she said.

Sabitha Reddy said the Telangana government was striving for the development of farmers in the State. The government had introduced several welfare schemes for farmers like Rythu Bandhu and other schemes earlier and now establishing Rythu Vedikas, she added.

Ranga Reddy ZP Chairperson Anitha Reddy, Maheshwaram MPP Raghu Reddy and others participated in the programme.
