Elude leopard creates flutter again in Rajendranagar

A leopard, who was escaped after creating panic few days ago in Katedhan area of Rajendranagar, where he was appeared first, has reappeared today night in same area at Agriculture University. Surprisingly, few hours earlier in the day a big cat was caught by the Zoo Park team at Marriguda area of Nalgonda District.

University authorities have informed the police about the presence of a leopard in their premises prompted them to sound high alert in surrounding areas in order to caution people from setting outside their houses.

Three Rescue teams, comprising of 50 officials from Zoo Park, Forest and Police Department constituted to catch the big cat few days ago following the appearance of leopard in Katedhan area. However, the leopard eludes rescue teams even though they have placed trap cages full of with goat meat at several locations to lure the wild animal. Later, the cat was appeared near Himayat Sagar area close to the vegetation of Agriculture University where please spotted him drinking water.

Since morning the reports are doing rounds that a leopard was spotted in Moinabad area. However, it was only 8.00 pm when the surveillance camera caught the wild cat prowling in the premises of the university that prompted the authorities to alert the police.

Soon, the news spread like a wild fire in surrounding areas of Agriculture University under Rajendranagar with people alerting others through whatsapp groups against venturing out or hustle bustling in the localities.
