Employee State Insurance Corporation Day celebrated in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: The regional office Employee State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) celebrated the 69th ESIC Day at its campus at Adarsh Nagar on Monday. Employees' State Insurance is a self-financing social security and health insurance scheme for Indian workers. The fund is managed by the Employees' State Insurance Corporation according to rules and regulations stipulated in the ESI Act 1948.
The chief guest on the occasion was Vaishali Dayal, Additional Central Provident Fund Commissioner, Telangana. S Mallesham, S L N Murthy, Rebba Rama Rao and S Raghavendra Rao, the members of the regional board were the guests of honour. Raghava Rao (Lauras Labs), Murali Krishna (Honour Labs Ltd) and Hemant Kumar (MRF Ltd) also attended the programme.
Arun Pandey, Additional Commissioner and Regional Director, spoke about the significance of the ESIC Day. ESIC Pensioners Association members too graced the occasion. Many persons insured under ESI Scheme also attended the function and were given sanction letters for the benefits due to them, such as dependents' benefits, PDB, unemployment allowance, etc. Pradip Sutradhar, Deputy Director, read a report on the activities planned by ESIC during the special Services fortnight being observed from February 24 to March 10. Rajendra R Pillay, Deputy Director, presented a vote of thanks.
