Energy Minister inaugurates 5 meals centre in Kodad

Kodad (Suryapet): Minister for Energy G Jagadish Reddy stated that Rs 5 meals scheme would fill the stomachs of poor. On Wednesday, along with local MLA Bollam Mallaiah Yadav, the Minister inaugurated the Rs 5 Annapurna meals centre near Kodad municipal office.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister informed that after Suryapet municipality, Rs 5 meals centre was established in Kodad municipality to provide quality meals at just Rs 5 to the students, unemployed, daily wagers and also to poor who visit Kodad regularly.

He thanked the Hare Rama Hare Krishna society for providing meals at Rs 5. Later, the duo leaders examined the village pond of Madavaram of Munagala mandal in Kodad constituency. On the occasion, the Minister assured to provide irrigation facility to tail end lands by filling all village ponds in the constituency. He informed that soon canals would be dug to fill the village ponds with SRSP water.
