Ensure proper disbursal of Central scheme benefits
Vikarabad: District Collector Masrath Khanam Ayesha on Friday urged officials to ensure proper disbursal of benefits Central government's 'Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Yojana Scheme' to beneficiaries, including workers aged between 18 and 40 years and those with a monthly salary of less than Rs 15,000 not receiving any other pension and not in the income tax bracket. She was addressing a meeting of municipal commissioners and mandal development officers
She listed the beneficiaries as those involved in the unorganised sector, artisans, MGNREGS workers, Anganwadi workers, ASHA workers, farm labour, beedi workers, hamalies, fishermen. According to the DC, the monthly premium for the policy would range between Rs 55 and Rs 200, which could be auto-debited from a person's bank account. The Central government would remit an amount equal to the premium. Once a person reaches 60 years of age, he would receive a monthly pension of Rs 3,000, Ayesha added.
