Everyone should participate in green drive: Collector D Krishna Bhaskar
Sircilla: People of all sections must participate in Haritha Haram programme and must protect the saplings, which they have planted, urged District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar. He attended as a chief guest at Haritha Haram programme, organised by Handloom and Textile department, on Wednesday in the newly constructed Opera Park in Peddur village in Sircilla Municipality.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector D Krishna Bhaskar said that for the sustenance of future generations, everyone should participate in the Haritha Haram programme and must plant saplings along with giving protection to them.
It is the responsibility of everyone to take part in the fifth phase of HH actively along with encouraging others to make it a grand success.
Joint Collector B Satya Prasad said by increasing the green cover, people will not only get plenty of rains but also will get pure air, which is most essential in today world as the atmosphere is filled with many pollutant gases.
Later, Collector D Krishna Bhaskar and Joint Collector B Satya Prasad inspected the works of compound wall, lighting system, sub-station, which are completed and also checked the ongoing construction works such as overhead water tanks and other works in the Opera Park.
They ordered the officials concerned to complete the works as early as possible.
RDD Tasleema, AD V Ashok Rao, Divisional Engineer and Assistant Engineers were present along with municipal officials.
