Everyone should work for development of village: Collector RV Karnan

Khammam: Everyone should work for the development of villages in all aspects, said Collector RV Karnan. The Collector along with Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal particaiapted in a programme in Mudigonda village. Under the clean and green programme, they along with students carried out the clean drive in the Junior College.

Later, the Collector interacted with the people and tried to ascertain the issues in the village. He inspected the roads and drainage and other facilities in the village. He urged the people to construct individual toilets.

He also appealed to the people to plant at least plants under the Haritha Haram programme to protect the environment.

The Collector also explained the ongoing 30-day action plan in the district. He said everyone should participate in the programme for the development of villages.

Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal exhorted the people to shun use of plastic and use cloth bags to make the village plastic-free.

District Panchayat Officer Z K Hanumanthu, Zilla Parishad CEO Priyanka, Additional Commissioner of Police Muralidhar, ZPTC member P Durga, MPP S Hari Prasad, Sarpanch M.Laxmi, MPDO Srinivas Rao, TaHsildar Saritha, and Junior College principal V Srinivas and other attended the programme.
