Nizamabad: MP Dharmapuri Arvind alleged that ex-MP and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao Kalvakuntla Kavitha is causing urea shortage in Nizamabad district as she was defeated in the previous elections.

Speaking to the media here on Thursday, he said the shortage of urea in Nizamabad was severe. Nizamabad district needs 55,000 metric tonnes of urea while only 47,000 tonnes of urea was supplied. He alleged that Srinivasa Reddy had taken over 9,000 metric tonnes of urea to Kamareddy district.

MP Arvind demanded R&B Minister V Prashant Reddy to respond immediately to the burning issue of urea shortage. Due to the diversion of the State government funds, the urea shortage came to light. Arvind assured that the BJP government at the centre will send urea to Telangana State in addition to the quota that is being supplied every month.
