Ex-MP Vinod Kumar appointed VC of State Planning Commission

Hyderabad: Former MP B Vinod Kumar has been appointed as Vice Chairman of the State Planning Commission.

Chairman of the State Planning Commission and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday signed on file pertaining to Vinod Kumar's appointment. Since the State Planning Commission plays an important role in the matters on the State development, a very experienced Vinod Kumar is appointed as the Vice-Chairman.

Vinod Kumar, as the State Planning Commission's Vice Chairman is entrusted with an important responsibility by the CM, to review and prepare proposals from all the departments in the backdrop of the government introducing a full-fledged Budget for the year 2019-20.

As the State Planning Commission Vice Chairman, Vinod Kumar will enjoy the status of a Cabinet Minister and will be a permanent invitee to the State Cabinet meetings and his term of office will be for three years.

The Chief Minister said that Vinod Kumar has been appointed as the State Planning Commission VC due to his vast experience in politics, administration as well as his knowledge on the socio-economic and geographical aspects of the Telangana. The Government has decided to utilize Vinod Kumar's services to the optimal level, the CM said.
