Extend financial aid to farmers, says Chief Secretary SK Joshi

Vikarabad: Chief Secretary SK Joshi and Principal Secretary of Agriculture and Cooperation C Parthasarathi a conducted video conference with all District Collectors from Hyderabad on Monday.

Speaking to the Collectors, Principal Secretary of Agriculture said financial assistance of Rs 5,000 for the Kharif season would be given to the farmers, who's passbooks were issued after digital signatures which are already done. He told the collectors to extend the scheme based on the data available till May 20.

The Collector Masrat Khanam Ayesha explained to them that 1,76,188 farmers out of 2,01,593 received financial assistance under 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme in the district.

Remaining 25,405 farmers are notified with passbooks. All these new entrants have to submit their details of passbook and Aadhar to respective agriculture officer or extension officer.

Almost 903 farmers did not receive the amount in 2018 due to insufficient details about their bank accounts. Such farmers should submit correct details to agriculture officer, the collector said. DRDO Johnson, Agriculture Officer Gopal were also present.
