Fact Check: Here Is Actual Truth Behind the Cracks On Uppal Metro Station
A few days ago, a young woman died after a concrete structure fell on her at Ameerpet Metro station in Hyderabad. Against this backdrop, many doubts raised on the safety of travelling in a Metro train. L & T Metro Officials rectified the problem. However, people are more concerned about security and watching the conditions of the metro station closely.
In the meantime, an enthusiast took a photo of the cracks at the Uppal Metro station and posted it on social media. The most dangerous cracks in that photo were found on the walls of the Uppal metro station, which did not appear to be simple cracks to watch. Hence the picture captioned as "metro under danger". The pic went viral and had been circulating on social media for two days.
The web team went to the Uppal stadium spot to confirm the issue about the cracks and found that they covered with concrete plastering.
So, the circulation on social media that this plastering is a threat is said not to be real. It is a fact that the Metro authorities are not trying to dilute the issue.
