False propaganda by TRS will not fetch it votes: Prakash Javadekar
Hyderabad: Union Minister Prakash Javadekar dismissed allegations that the Centre was trying to privatise the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India and Indian Railways. Responding to questions while releasing a charge sheet against the TRS government here on Sunday, he said such false propaganda would no longer help those making such narratives.
Regarding the issue of communal violence, he said there were no such incidents in Ahmedabad for the last 12 years. Similarly, no such incidents have been witnessed in about 100 civic bodies across the country headed by the saffron party. The party is taking along all sections of people in those places, he said.
For another question, he said religion was a different issue and radicalisation was a different phenomenon. He dismissed that the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) was targeting any section of the society. Regarding a recent law passed in Kerala regarding regulating the social media posts, he said that it exposes the real face of the left.
