Farm regulation policy to benefit farmers in Sircilla: KTR
Sircilla: The State government had introduced controlled method of cultivation to benefit the farmers in all aspects, stated Minister for IT and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao at ZP general body meeting held at Podupu Bhavan here on Friday. The meeting was chaired by ZP chairperson N Aruna.
Before convening the meeting, Minister KT Rama Rao paid floral tributes to Martyr Colonel Santhosh Babu, who died during Indo-China faceoff in East Ladakh on June 15.
Speaking at the meeting, the Minister directed the officials, ZPTCs and MPPS to work in coordination to ensure that Rythu Bandhu benefits will reach the beneficiaries.
He said ZPTCs and MPPs should have complete knowledge about the type of crops that are being cultivated in their respective regions. He ordered the officials concerned to complete the construction works of Rythu Vedika by Dasara festival. 'The government is being strict to achieve the targets for the wellbeing of people. Telangana is the only state which has a tractor and a nursery in every village.'
Earlier, IT Minister KTR participated in various developmental works and laid foundation stone for the construction of feeder canal at a cost of Rs 2 crore in Kolamaddi village and two check dams on Manair river in Narmala village of Gambhiraopet mandal. He interacted with EGS workers at Kolamaddi village and enquired their daily wages.
Since coronavirus is spreading at an alarming rate, the Minister suggested the EGS workers to wear masks and clean their hands with sanitisers often while at work. He also told them not to worry about water supply for irrigation needs. Once the works under EGS are completed, plenty of water will be available for agriculture fields, he assured. In-charge Collector Venkatram Reddy, Additional Collector R Anjaiah, MLAs S Ravi Shankar and R Balakishan, Rythu Bandhu Samiti president G Narsaiah, District Libraries department chairman A Shankaraiah, SES chairman D Lakshma Reddy, RDO T Srinivas were present along with others.
