Farmer attacked revenue officials with petrol in Karimnagar
Karimnagar: After the attack on Abdullapurmet MRO Vijaya Reddy, the assaults on revenue staff is on the rise across the state. Recently, a farmer who expressed his outrage on the revenue officials that they are not solving the land disputes has created hulchul by carrying petrol in the bottle at the revenue office in Karimnagar.
According to details, Kanakaiah, a farmer from Lambadipally village in Chigurumamidi Mandal here in the district, has tried to spill petrol on Revenue Senior Assistant and other staff on Tuesday morning.
On seeing the farmer with the petrol bottle, the revenue staff become alert and maintained distance from him. With this, petrol has dropped on the computers and chairs over there.
Over receiving the information the staff, the police reached the spot and took Kanakaiah into their custody. The revenue staff said that Kanakaiah tried to attack Revenue Senior Assistant Ramachandran and other staff with petrol.
The accused Kanakaiah admitted that he attacked the revenue officials as they were not issuing Patta related to his land. Farmer expressed his anguish that to get the Patta, he is continuously visiting the MRO office for the last three years.
The Tahsildar office staff said that as there is a dispute going on among the brothers over the land, and for this reason, they have not issued the Patta passbook. They also said that Kanakaiah tried to attack them with perfect planning and he was waiting with a petrol bottle in front of the MRO office since morning. The complete details of the incident are yet to be known.
