Farmer threatens to commit suicide in front of collectorate in Nizamabad

Fed up with the MRO not resolving a land row, a farmer threatened to commit suicide by jumping from a tree in front of an RDO office at Collectorate in Nizamabad on Monday.

Gangadhar, who complained of a borewell in a land owned by him and his brother to the MRO was unresolved for some time. Although the complaint was brought to notice the MRO several times, it was not solved, alleged Gangadhar.

However, police personnel climbed the tree and brought the farmer down.

In a similar incident, a woman attempted suicide in front of the RDO office at Bodhan for not being issued a digital passbook. When the police asked her foiling her attempt, she said that the land got registered by some other's name.
