Kagaznagar: Demanding urea supply, farmers staged a dharna before the Kagaznagar agricultural market yard on Wednesday.

Sirpur-Kagaznagar constituency in-charge Palvai Harish Babu, who extended support to the agitating farmers, accused that the market yard officials had denied supplying more than 200 bags, whereas urea is available in the open market at a price of Rs 500 per bag.

He alleged that the agricultural market officials have been shifting urea supplied by the government to the open market. Even drinking water facility is not provided in market committee for farmers, who come from distant places, he pointed out.

'The officials gave only one or two bags of urea to a farmer, who has 12 acres of agricultural land along with his father. Is it enough?' Palvai questioned. He demanded the District Collector supply of enough urea to all the farmers in the district.
