Nalgonda: Financial aid handed over to kin of deceased home guards

Nalgonda: Superintendent of Police AV Ranganath stated that department would take care of the bereaved families of home guards who died due to various reasons.

On Wednesday, the SP handed over cheques to bereaved family members of home guards who died due to various reasons at a programme held at his office in Nalgonda. He handed over a cheque for Rs 4.6 lakh to Shahnaz Begum, wife of SD Ghouse, who died at Adavidevulapally police station while he was on duty. Similarly, a cheque for Rs 4.4 lakh was handed over to kin of home guard Chandar, who died in a road accident.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said the Police department was taking all measures for the welfare of home guards. Stating that home guards have been honoured on par with police constables, he said the department was extending financial aid to their bereaved families.

Armed Reserve Additional SP Pulinder Reddy, home guards RI Shankar, Police Officers Welfare Association leader Somaiah and families of home guards were present.
