Fire breaks out in moving car in Sangareddy, no casualties

A major fire broke out in a moving car at Nandi Kandi of Sadasivapet Mandal of Sangareddy district on Wednesday evening.

Two people inside the car suffered minor injuries.

The mishap took place when the victims were heading to Sangareddy from Budhera when the fire broke out from the engine due to a short circuit. Upon noticing the fire, two people inside the car got down from the vehicle. Water tanker service was alerted which arrived at the spot and doused the fire.

The victims were shifted to a hospital for treatment. The police registered a case and doused the fire.

In a similar case, a person was burnt alive after the car he was travelling in suddenly caught on fire at Outer Ring Road in Hyderabad on February 20, 2019. The accident occurred at Sultanpur village of Ameenpur mandal in Sangareddy district.
