Fishlings distributed for free to fishermen in Narayanpet

Narayanpet: Local legislator Rajender Reddy distributed fishlings for free to the fishermen community in Narayanpet district on Thursday. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that the State government was doing whatever it could do to improve the livelihood of fishermen community and distributing fishlings for free, providing vehicles, fishing nets and other marketing facilities to them.

"After the formation of Telangana, the State government has designed various schemes and development programmes to improve the living conditions of the poor in the villages. Particularly, the people depending on traditional employments like fishermen, shepherds and other communities are being given highest priority and being provided subsidies and self employment schemes. Overall, the government is aiming to achieve Golden Telangana and is taking up various welfare and development programmes with long-term and short-term goals," said Rajender Reddy.
