Flag march held in Nirmal town

Nirmal: The police conducted flag march in the main streets of Nirmal town on Wednesday one day before the Ganesh immersion.

Superintendent of Police Shashidhar Raju said they have tightened security arrangements with police forces, ASPs, DSPs, CIs, SIs, special security forces, and home guards with Vajra vehicle, bomb squads.

Checking centres were set up at all main circles, highways, temples, with picketing. All the security arrangements will be monitored from Rural Police Command Control Room to prevent any untoward incidents during the Ganesh procession and immersion. As many as 10 mobile groups with video cameras will record the process of immersion, he said.

The SP urged the people to maintain peace during the festival. He told the public to inform the police if they see any person in a suspicious manner.

Later he held a meeting with the police officials at RK conventional hall and gave instructions to them.
