Focus on electoral rolls revision in Warangal

Warangal: Warangal Urban District Collector Prashanth Jeevan Patil has directed the officials to speed up the special summary revision (SSR) of electoral rolls.

Chairing review meeting here on Thursday, he emphasised the necessity of achieving 99 per cent of SSR, which currently stands at 96 per cent. He directed the officials to lay special emphasis on nearly 27,000 voters whose is verification is pending.

"Based on Nazari Naksha (Street name with Section Marking), all the households in a polling station should be tagged. The voters belonging to one household should be tagged using ERO Net portal. To identify technical glitches, this process should be implemented in two polling stations per each mandal on a trial basis," the Collector said. He said that honorary payment to the booth level officials would be released soon. Special Collector Manu Chowdary, RDOs K Venka Reddy and Mahenderji, election wing superintendent Kiran Prakash and Tahsildars were present.
