Focus on farmers welfare: Errabelli to babus in Mahabubabad

Mahabubabad: Minister for Panchayat Raj Errabelli Dayakar Rao said the by-election results of Huzurnagar have proved that people believe in the TRS government.

Distributing pattadar passbooks at Thorrur on Wednesday, he said that even though the Opposition have raised hue and cry over the governance of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, people in Huzurnagar Assembly constituency were firm in reposing their faith in the government.

"The Land Records Updation Programme (LRUP) initiated by the Telangana government had earned nationwide accolades. The Chief Minister initiated the LRUP with a view to prevent land disputes and purification of records would be completed within a week," Errabelli said.

In another programme at Mahabubabad town, the Minister said that government was taking several measures to provide remunerative price to the farmers' produce.

Stating that the government had allotted Rs 13,000 crore to civil supplies corporation for rain procurement, he said that efforts are on to procure every grain by providing support price to the cultivators. He directed the authorities to ensure tarpaulins and gunny bags in all grain procurement centres. He instructed the authorities to use electronic weighing machines.

"The onus is on farmers' coordination committees and administration to provide remunerative price to farmers' produce," the Minister said. He directed the officials to create awareness among the cotton farmers on moisture content. He urged the CCI to set up additional procurement centres to purchase cotton in the State.

The Minister also participated in the ZP general body meeting at Mahabubabad. Minister for Tribal Welfare Satyavati Rathod, MP Maloth Kavitha, Zilla Parishad chairperson Angoth Bindu, MLAs D S Redya Naik, B Shankar Naik, Seethakka, District Collector Shivalingaiah and Superintendent of Police N Koti Reddy were among others present at the ZP general body meeting.
