Folk festival held

Parigi: A festive fever gripped the villages in the mandal on Monday. Bonalu were organised in Parigi, Basireddypalli villages. The goddesses were profusely decorated with flowers and silk saris.

Villagers cutting across ages and classes participated in the festivities. Drumbeats, dances highlighted the celebrations. Men also actively carried 'bonams' on their heads and offered them to the goddesses.
