Former minister Damodar Reddy injured after his car turns turtle in Khammam

Congress senior leader and former minister Damodar Reddy injured after his car turned turtle in Khammam district late on Tuesday night.

The incident occurred when Reddy was heading towards Kothagudem from Degala Madugu of Sujatha Nagar in Khammam district. Passersby shifted him to a local hospital where he was given first aid and later shifted him to Lingala in another vehicle.

Meanwhile, the police arrested a person in connection with the accident and registered a case against him. An investigation is underway.

Damodar Reddy is a four-time MLA from Thungathurthy Assembly Constituency. He had served as Minister for Communications and Information Technology in the first cabinet of YS Rajasekhara Reddy.
