Former MLA Vemula Veeresham stages protest as cops thwart Holi procession in Nakrekal
Nakrekal (Nalgonda): Mild tension prevailed during the Holi celebrations in Nakrekal when police obstructed the former MLA Vemula Veeresham to take out a rally with his supporters with DJ music.
According to the sources, local circle inspector Bala Gopal raised objection when former MLA Veeresham along with his supporters organised holi celebrations in the main centre of the town with his supporters.
War of words took place between Veeresham and CI Bala Gopal when latter took the DJ auto in his control and asked about the permission of event.
Expressing anger on CI's misbehavior and unparliamentarily language used against him by the cops, Vemula Veeresham with his supporters staged dharna for two hours and leveled allegations on Nakrekal rural CI Naga Durga Prasad and allege harassment and filing of false cases on innocents at his discretion.
Speaking to media, he questioned the Police department about the friendly policing and said that he would write letters to CM KCR and Human Rights Commission on the incident for justice.
