Four held for ganja peddling

Hyderabad: The East Zone Task Force Team along with Afzalgunj Police nabbed four persons on Saturday who were allegedly in illegal possession of ganja at MGBS bus stand.

The accused were identified as Indresh Singh (25), Alwala Manohar Singh (26), Satti Babu (27) and Naga Raju Vangali (27). The police seized 22 kilograms ganja, two-wheeler and four cell phones from the possession of the accused.

According to the police, during interrogation accused Indresh Singh confessed that he was eking out a livelihood by selling kites but due to his meagre earnings he started selling ganja to known and other customers to earn easy money.

He hatched a plan to procure ganja from agency area and sell them to retail customers. In this process he approached his friend Manohar Singh and explained him about his plan and promised him to pay good share.

Further, Indresh Singh contacted Satti Babu and Nagaraju of Vishakhapatnam and requested them to transport and supply 22 kgs ganja from agency area to Hyderabad.

Subsequently, Satti Babu and Nagaraju procured contraband, packed them in travel bags and boarded private travels and came to Hyderabad to deliver.
