Four held for illegal rock-blasting
Bhongir: The police have registered a case against Narayana Goud, the owner of JSR Sun City Venture, and five others, who are carrying out rock-blasting in the venture without permission.
Addressing a press conference on Friday, Bhongir zone DCP Rajesh Chandra said, "on Thursday night, raids were conducted at the JSR City Venture located on the Hyderabad-Warangal National Highway in Kandigadda village under Aleru mandal in the district."
After receiving information about illegal explosions, police conducted raids and seized 57 gelatin sticks, 51 detonators, three connecting wire bundles, a compressor vehicle and four cell phones.
In this connection, illegal explosion case were filed against six persons, including Yenna Mallareddy, Sallagurugula Srinivas, Mahender (absconding), Alakuntla Kamalakar, Alakuntla Sumakar, Tadepalli Narayana (venture owner).
The DCP said that a case was registered and four people were arrested, while another person, the owner of the venture, is absconding. Going into the details, Narayana entrusted Yenna Mallareddy, Nallagurugula Srinivas and Alias Raju to flatten the land in JSR Sun City Venture. But they convinced the owner of the venture to blast the boulders in the venture in the name of waste of time and effort.
Mallareddy, Nallagurugula Srinivas and Alias Raju, along with tractor and compressor operators Alakuntla Kamalakar and Alakuntla Sumalakar brought explosives to the venture, without any permission and started the work by digging holes with the compressor tractor and doing illegal blasting.
On reliable information, the Aleru police raided the place where the work was going on in the venture and arrested the four accused. Explosives and vehicles were seized from the spot.
DCP Rajesh Chandra said that the four accused were arrested and remanded. In this case, all aspects are being investigated. People who supply explosives will also be arrested. It is a crime to store and supply explosives without any permits, he added.
