Four killed in car-truck collision in Jangaon district

Jangaon: Four persons including two women were killed in a road accident when their car was hit by a truck near Devaruppula in Jangaon district on Thursday morning.

The collision was such that all the four persons travelling in the car died instantaneously, while the lone survivor is fighting for her life at MGM hospital in Warangal. The victims belong to Mahabubabad district.

According to Inspector B Ramesh Naik, the accident occurred when the driver of the DCM truck carrying coconuts heading to Hyderabad tried to overtake another truck lost control over the wheel and hit the car coming from opposite direction.
