Four Killed in Horrific Road Accident on National Highway 44 Near Yerravalli Junction

Jogulamba Gadwal District : In a devastating road accident, four people were killed instantly on National Highway 44 near Yerravalli mandal junction around 11 pm. The tragic incident occurred when a speeding Scorpio vehicle, traveling from Allagadda town in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad with seven occupants, collided with a lorry in front and rammed underneath it.

According to Yerravalli police, the Scorpio, driven at high speed, attempted to overtake the lorry from behind but miscalculated, resulting in the fatal collision. Eyewitnesses reported that the overspeeding vehicle was unable to maneuver safely, leading to the severe crash.

Among the deceased were two women, a child, and a man, while the three other occupants sustained critical injuries. The injured have been rushed to the government hospital for urgent medical treatment.

The police have launched an investigation into the accident, focusing on the speed of the Scorpio and the circumstances leading up to the collision. This incident serves as a grim reminder of the dangers of overspeeding and the importance of cautious driving, especially on busy highways.
