Free dental camp for children held in Gadwal
Gadwal: A free dental camp was held at the Blind Ashrama School in Gadwal district on Wednesday. As part of it, many blind students were given free dental checkups and later they were provided toothbrush and paste free of cost.
Taking part as the chief guest, Dr S G Mahesh Kumar said that the children should make sure they keep their teeth clean and neat by brushing at least twice a day. He also advocated that especially the blind students must be guided properly to protect their teeth and urged the concerned teachers and principal of blind school to regularly conduct teeth checkup so that the students do not fall prey to cavities. "Usually all children are unaware of the bad effects of tooth decay. Therefore, they need to be provided awareness about oral hygiene and the adverse effects of cavities," said Dr Mahesh Kumar.
Many school students from different schools took part in the dental camp and got the checkup by the expert dentists at the camp. Earlier, Gadwal Municipality chairman BS Keshav cut the ribbon and inaugurated the free dental camp. Councillor Srimannarayana, school correspondents and children attended the camp.
