Free eye camp held at Gatrapalli village

Mancherial: Orient Cement Company and Hyderabad-based Saveranand Nethralaya Anand Eye Institute organised a two-day free eye checkup camp at Gatrapalli village in Mancherial district, starting from Tuesday.

Cement Company president SK Pandey and unit head RVR Murthy launched the camp by lighting the lamp.

Speaking on the occasion, SK Pandey said it will be difficult for any person to live without eyes. Stating that the camp is held for the poor for two days, he requested the poor and others with eye problems to utilise the opportunity and checkup their eyes.

Unit head RVR Murthy said villagers should utilise the opportunity and get free checkup of their eyes.

Company Chief Medical Officer Dr Prem Kumar said this is a good opportunity for people in remote areas and hoped that everyone will take advantage of it.

Gatrapalli sarpanch P Raju expressed happy for organised free eye camp in their village and requested for organising more such camps in future.

As many as 250 people attended the camp on the first day.

Company Medical Associate Dr Prem, Dr Srividya, Chiranjeevi, AVP Mines NP Sahare, general manager HR Ranchander Madhela, AGM Licensing Srinivasa Rao, HR staff Santosh Reddy, Lavanya, Lakshmikant Reddy, Sudarshan, Srinivas, Sarath, security personnel, workers, villagers and others attended the programme.
